Not Much Time.

I don't have much time to do a write-up today.

The blog runner yesterday was Mad Moose, I was confident that he'd win but he lost his place towards the head of the field half way through the race, he was left behind slightly and though he stayed on to look a big danger to eventual winner Havingotascoobydo, he failed to find much after his efforts earlier in the race. That meant a costly 3pt loss to the blog.

Selection:
Mad Moose 3pts win @ 3/1. Result - 3rd @ 11/4. -3pts.

Daily Profit: -3pts.
Overall Profit: +0.1pts.

16:30 Newcastle Lemington Social Club Carling Novices' Handicap Chase
I'll just out across the main points as again I don't have much time. Monsieur Jordan travelled well last time off a low weight but being just a small horse who has jumping flaws he is better suited by a stronger race off a lower weight, he is dropped in class and though on the same mark he is carrying 13lb more and will struggle to carry that in softish ground. Allanard won a very weak chase easily and as a result was put up 7lb and was due to go up a further 5lb, he was brought down when under pressure and was unlikely to trouble the eventual stand alone winner anyway. He's now under a further 5lb penalty which will make life even more difficult. Apache Blue was another easy winner of a weak race and will find life tougher off 6lb higher on ground slower than he might enjoy. An again, Innominate was a winner off a weak event last time (second did however win next time off the same mark). He jumped better than he had previously shown and was running off 20lb lower than he'd ran off over hurdles, he's been raised 9lb for that, also Campbell Gillies can't claim his 3lb today so he is on 12lb worse terms and though he could still be well handicapped this race is much stronger. This is best left to Finlay for Donald McCain and Jason McGuire. Adrian Lane took over the ride last time in a maiden chase in which Finlay got his first win under rules. He showed much improved jumping and was clearly suited by slightly quicker ground, the ground is quicker still and it should suit. He was a good second to Antonius Caesar (now rated 7lb higher). The 3rd place who was 11 lengths behind Finlay went in next time off 3lb lower. Finlay has gone up 5lb but his jumping is much improved and he looks the type to go in again having got his head infront.

Selection:
Finlay 2pts win @ 11/4 (Bet365).

Good luck with your bets.
