Autumn Time!

I don't have much time, so not much of a write-up today but I do have a couple of selections.

The 2 Guineas Trials were a bitter disappointment, I did manage to pick the winner of the 2000 Trial in Dunboyne Express but with the withdrawl of Cocozza there was no price about him, the 1000 Guineas saw Enpowering win but my selection History Note was definitely the one to take out of that, she made up plenty of ground late on after a luckless run. I'd expect her to be a group performer this season.

My one blog selection for yesterday was advised at 8/1+ but only opened up at 6/1 and went off at around the 4/1 mark so there was no selection yesterday afterall which means the blog remains in an overall profit of +4.1pts.

I like the look of Quinsman, he ran well in defeat on his return to action last time in a claimer, he had to give weight to the consistent and higher rated Mongoose Alert and was only beaten 1 1/2 lengths. He will be much sharper for that run and you can expect progress. He shouldn't mind the step up to 2m around a track he handles well. He returns to handicap company on a lenient mark having won off 5lb lower on his penultimate start, Ryan Clark takes over the ride and takes off that 5lb so he looks to be a winner without a penalty. Ryan Clark rode a double a few days back and gave them both stella rides too. The stable aren'y going too badly right now either.

15:00 Towcester Haygain Hay Steamers Handicap Chase
Tooka could be on a lenient mark of 93 with Matt Griffiths claiming 5lb having won off 90 in the past but his fresh record is far from good and he may just need this run for a trainer who hasn't had a winner for over a year. The one to be on is Autumn Spirit. A maiden hurdler who improved wildly when sent over fences and for better ground. He jumped well through out and was an easy 5 length winner, he's gone up 7lb for that but this race is no harder. He's unexposed and improving, conditions will suit and I'd be disappointed if he couldn't find the improvement needed.
